Les Deux Amis

Some wines you drink for the taste. Others for the story hidden inside. Les Deux Amis brings those two worlds together. The name literally means The Two Friends and symbolises what wine should be for us: an invitation to come together, share stories and enjoy the moment. Because a good glass of wine simply tastes better when you share it with friends.

For us, this wine is extra special. At the foot of the Krekelberg, in the heart of South Limburg, lies Wijnlandgoed Sterreheim. Here, on the sunny slopes of Thull, Gerjan and Iris Schijlen are building one of Limburg's most ambitious wine projects. With 120,000 vines, love for the craft and respect for the surroundings, a new Limburg wine story is taking shape step by step.

For the wines of Les Deux Amis they collaborate with carefully selected, sustainable vineyards that share the same attention for nature, soil and quality as they do. The vinification and bottling were done entirely in-house. These wines therefore carry their own signature: pure, characterful and made with care, as you may expect. This label already offers special wines, while the estate's own vineyards are given the time to naturally reach their full potential. It is a foretaste of what is yet to come: the choices and the unique way of making wine. Wines to drink with pleasure — not as a replacement for Sterreheim, but as a beautiful addition to it.

For De Muldermolen, Les Deux Amis also has a special meaning. Not only because Sterreheim and De Muldermolen are direct neighbours, but above all because of the warm friendship between Gerjan Schijlen and Kelly Brouns, which has lasted for years. That bond is exactly the essence of Les Deux Amis. Les Deux Amis is therefore more than a wine on the menu. It is the story of friendship, craftsmanship and the Limburg art of living!
